A loan helped to pay for labor to help with preparing the land for planting corn and beans, as well as to buy fertilizers and herbicides.

Maria Josefa's story

María is 55 years old and in a relationship. Her partner works in agriculture and mining. They have grown children who live apart from them.

María takes care of the household duties and also cultivates basic grains. She learned these skills from her parents and now she is able to help her family get ahead. María must travel one kilometer from her house to reach the parcel of land that she cultivates. She works from 5:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M.

This loan will be used to pay for labor to help with preparing land for planting two hectares of corn and beans. María will also buy fertilizers and herbicides for her crops. She previously received four loans that have already been fully repaid.
