Roman's story

Roman R. is from the village of Yeban Norte. He is 55 years old, married and has 2 adult-aged children. Roman owns and operates a business raising crops, primarily planting and harvesting corn for sale. Roman has been involved in his business for over 25 years and earns approximately 12,0000 PHP per harvest season.

In 2008, Roman joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Roman has successfully repaid a previous loan of 20,000 PHP from ASKI, which was used to purchase additional seeds, seedlings and young crops to raise. Roman is requesting a new loan, his 5th, of 28,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional seeds, seedlings and young crops to raise. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve/expand his business.
