Thanh An 33 Group's story

Phong, 36, is a Thai ethnic woman who is mother of three daughters and lives in a Thai traditional stilt house with her husband, her daughters and her father in law in a remote village of Vietnam.

In the village where Phong lived, people mainly earn their income from agricultural production activities. Like other villagers, Phong and her husband work very hard at some small activities such as growing rice, raising chickens, ducks, pigs and goats. Recently, Phong requested to take her eighth loan from the Anh Chi Em program to buy a buffalo for raising. Phong hope with the support from the program not only on financial, but breeding techniques, the buffalo will grow up fast and be healthy so that she could quick sell and get a high profit. Phong plans to use the income from this business to reinvest on breeding and support for her children to go to school.
