“Señor de Mayo” (Lord of May) is a group of 13 women who attend their meetings at the Alto Lima Community Center. They have been together for approximately six years. The members gathered to access a loan from which they all could benefit because they needed to improve and expand their businesses.

One of the members is Miriam C., who was invited to join by one of her cousins who was already part of the group. During this time, she has taken advantage of all the services offered by Pro Mujer. Miriam has been selling clothes at different fairs throughout El Alto for four years. She plans to use her loan to buy more merchandise so that she can continue generating revenues and provide the basic necessities for her two children.

The other members have different businesses in the retail, manufacturing, and service sectors. All of them need this loan to improve their businesses.

“Señor de Mayo” es un grupo de 13 señoras que asisten a sus reuniones en el Centro Focal “Alto Lima”, están juntas hace 6 años aproximadamente. Se agruparon por la necesidad de mejorar y ampliar sus negocios y de esta manera acceder al préstamo y beneficiarse todas.
Una de las integrantes es Miriam C. que ingreso al grupo por invitación de sus primas que ya estaban en el grupo y durante este tiempo ha podido participar de todos los servicios de Pro Mujer. Ella se dedica a vender ropa en diferentes ferias de la ciudad de El Alto, hace 4 años, con el préstamo tiene planificado comprar más mercadería y seguir generando ingresos que le permitan satisfacer las necesidades básicas de sus dos hijos.
Las demás integrantes tienen diversos negocios que se dedican a comercio, producción y servicio. Todas requieren el préstamo para mejorar sus negocios.
