A loan helped to buy more charcoal to sell.

Jackline's story

Jackline is married with three school-going children and a resident of Monrovia region. She operates a business where she sells charcoal. Her business is the primary source of income to meet family necessities.

She is currently out of stock to provide to her demanding customers, yet she is short of income since sales have gone down due to the current pandemic. Jackline approached BRAC Liberia seeking a credit facility to boost her capital to buy more charcoal to sell and restock her business to meet her customers' needs since some of them have resumed work.

Sales from the business will help shoot her profit margin high, increase her cash inflows for family support, and also grow the business. Thank you funders.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
