A loan helped to add to her savings to buy a used motorcycle to travel to work and for home use.

Sokontheary's story

Sokontheary is 40 years old and a widow with one child who lives in the Leuk Daek district of Kandal province. She is a garment worker and earns about US $6 per day. She has to work very hard everyday to cover her family's expenses and pay for her child's education. She is grateful for her hard work ethic and patience, which allow her to raise and send her child to school.

Sokontheary would like to cut down on unwanted expenses, so she is asking for a loan of US $1,000, which she will add to her savings to buy a motorcycle to travel to work, as well as for home use. This will mean that she no longer has to spend money on expensive taxi services to commute to work and can save some money for the future.

She sends thanks to all lenders for the help they are providing to her and her family, and for helping her improve her living standards.
