A loan helped to buy grocery items.

Valeria Valentina's story

Valeria is 21 years old, single and studying at the university. She is in the last semester of the Civil Engineering degree program and she lives in Jaramijo, a place with beautiful beaches that cover the coast and where the majority of inhabitants are very hardworking and dedicated to tasks of the seas. It has been greatly affected by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Valeria is a young entrepreneur who likes to work and support her parents with the household expenses. For this reason she has opened a grocery store from their house since the pandemic started where she sells rice, sugar, oil, flour and noodles, among other items.

She works every day in the mornings and in the afternoons she leaves a family member in charge since she has to study. The sales are low but little by little she is gaining customers.

She will invest the loan in purchasing grocery items to increase her business. Her hope is to locate a neighborhood bank.
