Avec Djokere Endam Group's story

In the photo we see Madame Boulouda, president of the group "Avec Djokere Endam," which means solidarity. This group is comprised of 14 women. The loan is for financing their animal-raising business.

Madame Boulouda is 58 years old. She raises animals and also is a market gardener. She has a lot of experience in this business, which she has practiced for 20 years.

She is a widow and the mother of a 17-year-old daughter who is in school. She would like to expand her animal-raising business and have a large farm in her village. She purchases her animals in nearby villages to resell at the weekly markets in her area. The profit from her business enables her to take care of her daughter.

Being educated, she dreams of being one of the major livestock suppliers in her region during the major holidays. She also has a dream for her daughter. She would like her daughter to go to the best schools in the country.

Madame Boulouda occasionally encounters challenges related to cattle theft.

In this group: Boulouda, Adama, Dienabou, Habibatou, Binta, Maimouna, Fatoumata, Kadidiatou, Coumba, Ramata, Kadiatou, Aissatou, Tening, Mariama
