This group is comprised of 15 members who share strong values of solidarity and mutual help. They live in the same village and took the opportunity to join this farming group when it was founded in July 2020. The group works in rain-based agriculture.
Monsieur Soumaré (standing at right with his hand raised) is the group representative. He is 46 years old and the father of 2 children, a boy and a girl. His children are 11 and 3 years old.
The group works in rain-based agriculture and has been growing peanuts for 10 years. They buy farm inputs (peanut seeds, fertilizer, powder) from a local operator. After the harvest, they sell in the weekly markets and to local oil makers.
With this new loan, Monsieur Soumaré wants to buy peanut seeds and fertilizer. He will use the income he makes for livestock fattening.
