A loan helped to buy items for her business.

Luz Estella's story

Luz Estella is 57 years old. She's in a domestic partnership and has two children with her spouse; one is grown-up and the other is 17 years old and is still in school. They live in Jaramijó, a touristic and welcoming city with beach-lined coasts and friendly, hard-working people. The city was greatly affected by the health emergency caused by COVID-19.

She is a go-getter who strives daily to increase her income and, together with her spouse, improve her family's quality of life. She, therefore, opened a grocery store in her house three years ago. She also makes breads, sweets, and cakes upon request. She has continued selling during the pandemic, ensuring the safety of her customers by disinfecting all her products, although sales did decrease a little. With this loan, she hopes to strengthen her business and keep working.

She will use this loan to buy items for her business. She dreams of seeing her children become professionals.
