A loan helped to buy fishing supplies such as buoys, fishing lines, tubs, and more.

Monserrate Eulalia's story

Monserrate Eulalia is married. She has two adult children and her husband is a fisherman. They live in Jaramijó, a touristic and welcoming city with beach-lined coasts and friendly, hardworking people. The city was greatly affected by the health emergency caused by COVID-19.

She's a very responsible and hardworking woman who strives daily to earn her own resources and help her husband. To do this, she has sold cosmetics by catalog for 20 years. She and her husband also run a business selling fishing supplies and equipment such as shrimp and fishing nets, buoys, and lead sinkers, among other items. Her husband is also a fisherman who sells his catch on the beach to other business owners. Monserrate sells fish from home too.

Sales have decreased due to the pandemic and this has caused financial difficulties. She and her family also got sick. Nevertheless, despite everything, she remains optimistic and hopes to strengthen her business and keep working with this loan. She will use this loan to buy fishing supplies such as buoys, fishing lines, tubs, and more. She dreams of seeing her business improve.
