Felister's story

Felister, 46 years old and married with six children, has owned a retail shop for seven years where she sells sodas, cooking fat, maize, beans, sugar and rice. She also sells clothes and operates a poultry farm to earn a living.

Felister is in Matel group in Faulu Kenya and previously took out a loan of Kes. 20,000 that was guaranteed by the group members. She is now requesting a loan of Kes. 50,000 to buy clothes, beans and maize for sale and hopes to expand her business into other areas and become a wholesaler in the future.
