A loan of $400 helped buy ingredients to make soap.

Boudrosse Al Maou's story

Born 2 September 1983 in Kita (in the Kayes region), Mr. Boudrosse Al Maou Keïta is unmarried with no children, and resides in Hamdallaye Extension, one of the populous boroughs in Sikasso (3rd administrative region of the Republic of Mali).

Mr. Keïta obtained a professional certification in building construction (CAP Bâtiment), but six years ago began manufacturing soap, which he had learned to do in Bamako during his studies. He conducts his business at his home before selling his products in Koutiala and in San, where he is much in demand due to the quality of his products.

To satisfy an ever-increasing customer base, he decided a few months ago to join the Soro Yiriwaso MFI. He is now requesting his first individual loan to buy two barrels of coconut oil, two bags of lye, one carton of perfume, etc.

With this loan he hopes to attain a monthly profit of 120,000 FCFA, which will be used to deal with daily expenses, pay back his loan, and invest the remainder in his commercial activity.
