Mary's story

Mary is married and has two children. They live in Aipeana village in Mekeo District of Kairuku Hiri Central Province.

Mary and her husband are engaged in a retail business which specializes in selling food in Aipeana village. They have been operating for the past four years. In sales she earns 5040 PGK (1450 USD) monthly from her store. With the profit she earns, she makes savings deposits with the bank and purchases more stock for the store.

Both Mary and her husband have the knowledge and skills to run the business. Due to difficult road condition they do not make the savings deposits. The store has run out of stock, and she is looking for assistance to purchase new store goods.
