San Rafael Poty Group's story

The loan group called San Rafael Poty is in its second cycle with the women's committee program. It is from the city of San Pedro, in an area that is in the process of urbanization. They have all the basic necessities but lack some upgrades that they will start to do during these times.

Lorena works selling tortas (sandwiches) and chipas (cheese breads) which are traditional Paraguayan foods that are consumed all year round. With her work she gets the means to be able to help her family. She says that due to the Covid-19 pandemic, her work has been affected as well as her income, making it hard for her to cover the needs of her household.

She is asking for this loan to be able to invest into her business and be able to buy ingredients such as flour, eggs, raising agents and this way she can go out to sell and pick up her business.
