A loan helped to buy another refrigerator, 3 bags of beans, 10 cans of oil, 5 bags of flour and 5 packages of sugar and save up to ensure her children's success.

Noelie's story

Noelie is the mother of four children, two of whom attend school. She has been a vendor in the central market for more than twelve years already where she sells water, fried potatoes and cake.

She is on her seventh loan cycle with the microfinance institution Yikri and she repaid her first Kiva loan without difficulty. She has asked for a new loan to buy another refrigerator, 4 bags of beans, 10 cans of oil, 5 bags of oil and 5 packages of sugar to fry soy beans, cake and french fries to meet customer demand.

She will reinvest a portion back into her business and save up to ensure her children's success in school. She encourages everyone to follow social distancing guidelines to protect themselves from Covid-19.
