A loan of $600 helps to purchase two bales clothing - one of sports clothing and the other of mixed clothing.

Cristhiam Ordoñez's story

Christhiam is a business woman who is 26 years old, is married and is a mother to two children who are her main reason for getting ahead. She decided to sell secondhand clothing as a traveling vendor and from a space in her home. She has five years of experience earning income in this way. She is always fighting tirelessly to earn income and support her children’s primary education.

She has previous experience with loans from Kiva together with MiCrédito with which she increased her business and complied with her client’s demands. At this time, she would like to reinvigorate her business, so she is knocking on Kiva’s doors again to receive a loan to purchase two bales of clothing – one of sports clothing and the other of mixed items. In the near future, she hopes to make her shop bigger.

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Shannon Yarosik.
