A loan helped a member to buy corn, coffee, and firewood.

La Union De Tauquil Group's story

Luz, 58, is married and the mother of four children. She is an upstanding, hardworking, honest person who wants very much to work for improved living conditions for herself and her family. She is seeking a loan through Fundenuse with Kiva funds for the purchase of corn, firewood, and coffee because she works making and selling tortillas, ground coffee, and buying and selling firewood. She states that she is grateful to Fundenuse for their trust and financial support. She belongs to the “La unión de Tauquil” solidarity group along with Santos and Teresa. As group coordinator, she encourages the other members to invest and make payments properly on the loans issued. With help from God and financing, she has her house and her own business. She adds that she and her husband will move forward by working responsibly and keeping their commitment to the institution. Her future plans are to improve the conditions of her business.
