Friends Trust Bank Group's story

Grace A. calls herself a responsible and honest trader who buys maize at Mampong to sell at the Kumasi central market. She has been in this business for the past 15 years and hopes to secure silos at Mampong some day so she can buy maize at harvest time when prices are cheap and store it in the silos. According to her, she will supply maize to second cycle schools when the prices go up. Through this, Grace believes that she will be able to support her children's education to the university level.

Grace is the leader of 'Friends' trust bank group and she says they have known each other since childhood days hence the name 'Friends'. They are 10 in number and she was elected as group leader because she is a unifier. Members of the group are into the sale of maize, yams, beans and chop bar operation. All the group members plan to use the loan to grow their businesses so they can work towards achieving their dreams.
