A loan of $3,300 helps a member to buy vegetables, meat, condiments, baked goods and other items.

La Esperanza Group's story

The group La Esperanza was formed by friends and neighbours in the city of Paso Yobai, who were looking for ways to improve their own quality of life and that of their families. They are in their second cycle of a women's committee programme. They are hard working women who all live in the same area.
One of these women is Yenny. She says that the global Covid-19 pandemic has stopped her from working normally and generating an income to support her family. This has had consequences for her business.
She sells food which she has made herself and is trying to find ways to grow her business once more.
She is asking for this loan to buy ingredients to continue making her food to sell. She would like to buy vegetables, meat, condiments and other products to continue to invest in her business and get it back on track.
Note: There is only one person on the photo however this is a group loan. It was not possible to take a group photo due to the restrictions surrounding a gathering of people due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

In this group: Yenny, Celia, Selva, Auranona, Dilma, Florencia, Eva, Marisa, Yessica, Yesica, Teodora, Gladys, María, Sonia, Perla, Elida, Mirtha
