Fortaleza Group's story

The group called "Fortaleza" is in its 27th cycle of the Committee of Women Program, where all of the members are committed to working and helping each other in order to move forward. They are also in the Elimination of Poverty Program, where they all fight for a better quality of life for their families, in order to give to them what they themselves were not able to have.

Lucia is one of the members. She sells cosmetics and also thermoses. She says that although her work is modest, it has permitted her to grow and to get ahead, since she is the one who is supporting her home and her family. She is determined to be able to better herself and to be able to offer her loved ones all that she was not able to have, and to make sure that they do not go without the necessities that she had to go without.

Lucia is requesting this loan to be able to buy assorted cosmetics and thermoses to sell. She is grateful for the opportunity that she is receiving of getting together with this group, which will be of great help.
