A loan helped a member to stock up on two bundles of used clothing which will build on her initial capital.

Gabrielle Group's story

Mme Esperance is a customer of Hekima IMF and heads the groupe villageoise Gabrielle. She is 41, married and mother to 6 children who are in school. Her husband is a driver.

She sells second hand clothing and launched her business in 2010, with the initial capital provided by her husband. Later she got involved with the Hekima program for additional support, which enabled her to gradually evolve her business.

With this new loan, she is going to stock up on two bundles of used clothing which will grow her initial capital. The challenge for her business is the risk of purchasing a poor quality bundle.

She would like to have a rental house to prepare for her old age. She would also like to thank Hekima and its partners for their support for business owners who do not have access to traditional banking, especially in the context of the global Covid-19 crisis.

The photograph only represents the leader of the group due to Covid-19.
