Hiab's story

Hiab took the first Kiva loan in 2018 to operate the junk shop in her village. The business has been going well so far that is able to generate monthly income sufficiently.

Therefore, to continue the business, she applied for the Kiva loan once again to buy used glasses and plastic bottles, metal, and paper boxes for selling in her junk shop. Moreover, she planned to increase more storage space by extending the storage building.

The loan will be very helpful for her to run the business continuously and support waste management in a rural area as well.
