A loan of $1,050 helps to buy beef, chicken, pork, rice, beans, oil and sugar for her business making breakfasts and lunches.

Julia María's story

The sale of food and drinks has been the primary source of income for Julia. She gets up every day at 4:30 in the morning to prepare her diverse dishes and have them ready by 6:00 in the morning as breakfast for her customers. In this same way she offers her dishes at noon, when demand is very high.

This 63-year-old woman had a prior Kiva loan, through MiCrédito, with which she bought meat, vegetables, greens, oil, staple grains and fruits. At this time Julia wants to strengthen her business in order to make more income. For this reason she returns to MiCrédito and Kiva with confidence that she will obtain a loan to buy beef, chicken, pork, rice, beans, oil and sugar. In the near future Julia wants to grow her business.
