Rosario Maria's story

Rosario Maria, age 43, is in a common law relationship and has two children, ages 19 and 16 years old. Her husband is a fisherman. They live in the city of Machalilla, a place of pretty beaches and attractions visited by many tourists. The beaches now are deserted due to the Covid-19 emergency.

She is a determined woman who does not let herself be defeated and seeks the means to help her husband to get out off this difficult situation. She has a restaurant. Before the pandemic, she was selling every day, but then she had to close. Now she only sells for take-out or to deliver to homes, or one or another client will come, but very few. Although her profits are small, she keeps hoping that better days will come.

This loan is to buy fish, shrimp, rice, and other ingredients to make food, as well as jars for shipping.
