A loan of $700 helped a member to buy materials like fabric, thread, etc.

Marenco Group's story

The Marenco group is made up of three hard-working women. One of them is Josefa Leonarda E., 54, who is a seamstress; she has made shirts, dresses, etc. since 1980. She will use the loan to buy materials like fabric, thread, buttons, etc. to increase her business.

Her fellow group members are: Lucia A. Espiniza who has been a seamstress since the age of 14 and Asunción C. Marenco who has worked in textiles and dressmaking since she was 18 years old and learned to embroider from some neighbors; since then she has been perfecting her work with new techniques and trends. She promotes her work at national markets, patron saint feast days, cruises and very soon, God permitting, international markets.

In this group: Celania De La Asunción, Patricia Lucia, Josefa Leonarda
