Luis Hernando's story

Luis, 69, is a microentrepreneur and a resident of the city of Barranquilla, where he owns a hairdressing business. Luis Hernando started this business approximately 40 years ago, work that he started out of the desire to improve his quality of life and that of his family. In order to get ahead, he currently offers his products daily to his neighbors, relatives, and people nearby on cash and credit terms.

Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, he had to suspend his work due to safety and health issues. His income decreased drastically and he has been greatly effected economically. He is currently managing his first loan with the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation to increase working capital and to buy creams, keratins, hair color, among others, to reach a greater number of clients and increase sales.
