A loan helped to buy fertilizer and soil amendments.

Jose Manuel's story

He lives in the 12 March neighborhood with his wife and children. He is engaged in agriculture and this is his primary source of income.

He grows good quality corn as he tends to it appropriately and then manages to sell it at an excellent price. He is very responsible in the community.

He is requesting a loan to buy fertilizer and soil amendments to achieve very good production. He is very satisfied with the kindness and good treatment he received from Prisma and Kiva. He is grateful for the support he received.

He dreams of having a good harvest.

Jose wanted to take the picture with the field partner in charge. The loan officer is the one who is wearing the mask and the cap.

This loan is special because:

It has a below-market interest rate and is repaid at harvest, when farmers can more easily repay.
