Mr. Bou H. is a farmer who owns a plot of land on which he cultivates rice for a living. For his farm, he decided to ask for a loan to purchase fertilizer, pesticide, and rice seed and to hire a laborer to plow his farm.

Mr. Bou H.’s wife, Mrs. Vov Phorn, is a congee (a type of rice porridge) seller who is able to earn a little income to support her family. This couple has four children: two are on the staff of a casino club and two are students in the local school.
