San Blas Group's story

This group, called San Blas, was formed by neighbors in the area of Caacupé, who seek a way to improve their quality of life and that of their families. They are in the third cycle of the committee of women program.

María is the president of the group. She tries to help her fellow members grow together. She has a convenience store in her house. She was able to set it up with great effort, and has improved it little by little with her dedication. María is a hardworking person who doesn't give up. She seeks a way to give her loved ones a life with dignity.

It also bears mentioning that due to the Covid-19 pandemic her sales were affected as well as her earnings. As a result she was unable to meet all her obligations, and now seeks a way to move forward. María seeks this loan to buy bakery items, vegetables, fruits, canned goods, meats, and other products. This will allow to continue in her work as before.

Note that only one person appears in the photo although this is a group loan. A group photo wasn't possible in light of the social distancing requirements due to Covid-19.
