A loan of $6,250 helps a member to purchase seeds, soil amendments and ingredients to be able to make cleaning products.

Mujeres Valientes Group's story

The group is called Mujeres Valientes and was formed by the union of friends and neighbors from the city of Caaguazú who seek the way to be able to improve their quality of life and that of their loved ones. They are in their first loan cycle in the women's committee program.

One of them is Zulma, who works selling vegetables that she produces and also sells cleaning products that she makes herself. She states that, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, her sales were affected as well as her income, and this affected her business. But, she seeks the way to be able to get her work up and going again since, with this, she helps sustain her household.

She asks for this loan to be able to purchase seeds, soil amendments and ingredients to be able to make cleaning products. She is grateful for the opportunity she is receiving to be able to continue with her work as she has been doing.

Note: There is only one person in the photo, but this is a group loan. A group photo was not possible to prevent the gathering of people due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
