A loan of $1,300 helps to buy mulberry for her tapa making business.

Pisila's story

Pisila is 36 years old. She is married with only one child. Currently she is running a business of tapa making, and she also sells soft tapa. They conduct the tapa making once a week. Pisila also buys mulberry and prepares soft tapa, then sells it for extra money for her family. She sells her tapas locally and also overseas.

Pisila is hoping to use her loan money to buy mulberry for her tapa making business. Pisila and her husband plan to build a better house for their family because they currently live in an iron house.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
