A loan of $450 helps to buy mulberry for her tapa making business.

'Otolose's story

This is 'Otolose. She is 26 years old, married to a farmer, and has three children. 'Otolose runs a business of tapa making. She joins her aunty with some other women in their village, and together they make tapas of different sizes. 'Otolose also sells out soft tapas. Her husband grows his own mulberry plantation for her business but it is not matured enough yet to be used.

Therefore, 'Otolose is applying for a loan to buy mulberry for her business. Currently they live in an iron house. She wishes that one day she can be able to build a better house for her family.

This loan is special because:

It provides women with credit in a country where alternative financing is extremely scarce.
