Leandro's story

Leandro is a small business owner who is 37 years old. He lives in the city of Barranquilla, with his wife. Leandro has a business selling footwear. He started this business approximately four years ago after he had acquired knowledge from his father, who worked in this business for his whole life. Leandro offers his services daily to his main customers who are passer-by, neighbors and people from neighboring sectors with payments of cash and credit.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Leandro had to suspend his economic activity for safety reasons and national government orders. Currently he is arranging his first Kiva loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo in order to be able to increase his business' working capital and to buy new shoes and sandals to increase his sales and profits.
