A loan of $11,800 helps a member to refinance a debt and purchase dyes, creams, shampoo, rinses, hairspray and other products.

Mujeres Emprendedoras Group's story

The communal bank called "Mujeres Emprendedoras" (Enterprising Women) is made up of eighteen women. They are hard-working, enterprising and above all very self-sacrificing. They work hard for their families so that their families have everything they need and don't have to suffer the same lacks that these members did.

One of the communal bank members is señora Yessica. She earns her living offering hair-styling services. She has a modest business that she works in every day starting early in the morning. Through her business, she helps support her household and her family. Even so, Yessica says that her business and her income have been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic, which has made it difficult for her to meet her all of her obligations.

Yessica is a determined person who doesn't give up and who looks for ways to improve her situation and get ahead. She is requesting this loan so she can refinance her debt and also purchase supplies for her hair salon, like dyes, creams, shampoo, rinses, hairsprays and other products.
