A loan of $1,350 helps to purchase high turnover goods, such as meats, bread and cold cuts.

Jose Luis's story

Jose Luis is a 26 year-old micro entrepreneur from the city of Barranquilla, where he lives with his spouse and his young child.

He has a business selling prepared meals and he has over six years of experience in this business activity.

His business idea was born out of a small capital that was given to him by a family member when he finished his studies as a chef and with which he bought a food cart. He started in the garage of his house and with the profits he invested little by little in supplies and equipment.

His clients are internet platforms, neighbours, friends, referrals, among others and people from the sector. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, that has occurred worldwide, his business deteriorated due to bio-security issues and his income decreased drastically; he is currently managing his first Kiva loan with Fundación Mario Santo Domingo to be able to invest in the wholesale purchase of high turnover goods, such as meats, bread and cold cuts. Support him in his business loan.
