A loan of $1,350 helps to pay business expenses like payments for rent, public services, and employee wages.

Yolanda's story

Yolanda, 61, is an enterprising micro-entrepreneur. She is a resident of the city of Cartagena. For five years, she has owned a business selling clothing and merchandise for the beach. She offers bathing suits, beachwear, and accessories. The idea came to her because Yolanda is from another city in the country where the climate is much colder. In Cartagena, she saw the opportunity to invest initially in a small shop, and thanks to her popularity in the market, she moved to another area of the city that attracts more tourists.

Currently, her business has one employee, so it contributes to the creation of employment and income for families. Her customers are tourists, foreigners, and the general public. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, she had to suspend her work, and her income fell drastically for health reasons.

Now she is applying for her first Kiva loan through the Fundación Mario Santo Domingo to cover her business expenses like payments for rent, public services, and employee wages. Please support her with her loan for her business.
