A loan helped a member to buy a calf.

Noong Het 17 Group's story

Tuyet is a 43-year-old woman who is living with her husband and her two children in a small house in Vietnam's northwest mountains.

Like other villagers, Tuyet's family gets their main income from agricultural production with some small-scale activities such as growing rice and vegetables and raising chickens, ducks, pigs, buffalo and cows. While these are many activities, their scale is still small.

Wishing to expand the scale, Tuyet decided to borrow a loan at Anh Chi Em program. This is her seventh time borrowing, and the loan will be used to buy a calf. Tuyet hopes that with this continued support from the program, the calf will grow up quickly and healthy, bringing her a high profit, which she plans to save and use in emergency cases.
