A loan helped a member to purchase a new thermos, soda and atol [a warm beverage made from corn], and she plans to make enchiladas.

Lloviendo Bendiciones Group's story

Ileana Del Socorro (seated with her friends) is a 30-year-old hard-working woman. She is a member of the “Lloviendo Bendiciones” [raining blessings] association in Jinotepe, Nicaragua. She is not afraid of work: in good times and in bad, she keeps going. Her spouse is also a merchant and she has a five-year-old daughter.

She says, “My dream is to expand my business and to have a fixed loan in order to do so.” Ileana needs a new loan to purchase a new thermos, soda and atol [a warm beverage made from corn], and she plans to make enchiladas.

Ileana is a street vendor. Winter is a major challenge. However, she adapts to the season. In winter, she makes atol [a warm beverage made from corn] and coffee.

Ileana is very grateful because loans and her earnings have allowed her to build a home and meet her financial obligations.

Help Ileana and the women of “Lloviendo Bendiciones”! They are clients with dream and hopes who depend on loans.
