Kaïraba Group's story

The solidarity group Kaïraba of the village loan group of Terembasse is composed of 7 women, all of whom are married and have at least 4 children. The group was created in 2002, at the same time as the village loan group, due to social and regional proximity. The members are driven by the same mindset, which is to strengthen the solidarity that already exists among them, and to develop their businesses in order to better deal with the economic difficulties that their respective families face.

Ms. Aïssatou C., one of the members, is a very committed woman and has a good group-oriented mindset. She is 39 years old and has 6 children who attend school. As a commercial activity, she sells sugar, tea, oil, rice, and various other food products. Her goal is to participate in paying for the health and education of her children.

The current loan will allow the group to better supply themselves with goods at the weekly markets, namely rice, sugar, and palm and/or vegetable oil. Their sales locations are generally at home and in their village.
