José's story

José is 31 years old, is married, and a father of two children.

He is a farmer and primarily sows basic grains, which he has been doing since he was eighteen years old. He sows between four to five apple trees per cycle. To generate additional income he also owns a truck for traveling and rents out a house. He worked very hard to achieve what he has today.

He is requesting a loan in Fundenuse with Kiva funds to purchase agricultural supplies to plant red beans. Because he harvests four apple trees per cycle, he projects to have more than one hundred quintals as a future harvest. His short-term plan is to buy a motor pump for irrigation. In the future, he hopes to exchange his truck for a better one and to improve his home.
