Keletiola's story

Keletiola is 50 years old. Her husband is a carpenter, and they have ten grown ups. They only live with the three youngest, while the rest have had their own families. Keletiola runs a business of making tapa, where she joins a group of women in their village, and together they make tapa according to their need or the customer's demand. Normally they only conduct the tapa making once in a week. But when they need tapas urgently, they will conduct the tapa making twice a week. She sells her tapas locally and also overseas.

A strong cyclone struck Tonga on April, causing many damages to many houses. Keletiola's house were badly affected. The roof were totally blown off and they have to seek shelter to their neighbor. They temporarily move into her sister's house until their roof is renovate. She is hoping to use her loan money to buy new iron roofing for their house.
