A loan of $350 helped buying basic ingredients to prepare the food she sells.

Rogelia's story

Rogelia is a hard-working woman, age 48, who lives with two of her children in her own house. More than two years ago, she began selling food from a stall she operates within one of the most popular markets of her area. Rogelia is very happy with her work, since she likes to cook; in addition, this activity keeps her busy all day, especially in the mornings, when the highest numbers of customers come to buy her food. At the end of the day, she takes care of the housework. Throughout this time, she has learned to persevere until she reaches her goals. In this spirit, she wants to expand her food stall and offer better service to her customers by providing more tables and chairs. This is her third loan with MFP, and she has always been very punctual with all of her payments. With the loan she is currently requesting, she will buy products such as rice, sugar, noodles and condiments which are necessary to prepare the dishes she sells.
