A loan of $2,600 helped a member purchase of products.

Amados Por Dios Group's story

Amados por Dios is a community bank maintained by 9 members who live in the settlement of Huamano D. Chosica; they appreciate the loans.

Rayda knits and for two years she has used wool thread to make polo shirts, sweaters, dresses, and baby clothes. She also teaches others to knit for extra income. Rayda works to support her son. She's happy about the loans because she'll be able to invest in the purchase of materials for her knitting.

Elvira, the treasurer of the group, works in her house and in various businesses such as selling vegetables and food. During the weekends she makes special food to order for her customers. She has 7 children who help her with the work because they know that the income is for the entire family. This is her third loan and the responsible members know that her punctual repayment benefits the group as a whole.
