A loan of $925 helped buying ingredients for making juices.

Salimata's story

Ms. Salimata Kamaté, aged 44, is the mother of six children.  She lives in a monogamous family with her husband and children in Fana Coura, a district in Fana City, Region of Koulikoro, Republic of Mali.  Salimata has diverse businesses, such as clothing, making and selling juice beverages, etc.

In order to have supplemental financial resources for addressing the tougher and tougher competition, she decided to join the loan program of the micro-finance institution Soro Yiriwaso.  She has properly repaid all her previous loans and intends to use this new loan for building up a significant stock of ingredients (sugar, ginger, flavorings, etc.) for making juices.  She stocks up on basic supplies in Fana City.

The juices are sold locally door-to-door.  Cash and credit are accepted from a customer base composed of women and men.

She thinks she'll have a projected profit of 100,000 francs CFA that will be used to cover day-to-day expenses.
