B. Catherine L. was born 25 November 1982 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin. Married to Sylvain ADJAMONSI, a technician, Catherine is the mother of two children, of whom one is attending school. For the past three years she has been living with her family in the Agblangandan borough, in the Sèmé-Podji commune. Catherine helps her husband by sharing responsibility for various family expenses.

Catherine has attended school up to secondary level, but began four years ago to sell various products from her home (eggs, milk, canned tomatoes, sardines, peanut flat-cakes, plastic pouches, soap, matches, etc.). She also sells cookies as a side business.

Catherine has already been granted one loan from ALIDé, which was fully repaid. She is now requesting a second loan, as she wishes to increase her stock of supplies and the number of customers.

L. B. Catherine est née le 25 Novembre 1982 à Cotonou, capitale économique du Bénin. Mariée à ADJAMONSI Sylvain, un technicien, Catherine est mère de deux enfants, dont un est scolarisé. Catherine vit avec sa famille depuis trois ans au quartier Agblangandan, dans la commune de Sèmè-Podji. Catherine vient en aide à son mari, en supportant avec lui, les différentes charges familiales. Catherine a fréquenté l’école jusqu’au secondaire. Mais depuis quatre ans, Catherine a commencé à vendre divers produits (œufs, lait, conserves de tomate et de sardine, galettes d’arachide, sachets, savons, allumettes, etc.) à son domicile. De façon secondaire, Catherine vend aussi des biscuits. Catherine a déjà obtenu une fois de crédit à ALIDé et a bien effectué le remboursement. Catherine désire augmenter le stock de ses produits et accroître sa clientèle, raison pour laquelle Catherine sollicite auprès de ALIDé un deuxième prêt.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000.
