A loan of $550 helps to buy manure and fertilizers.

Raul's story

Raúl is a 45-year-old farmer, father of three and with four people at his care. For fifteen consecutive periods he has planted corn and beans with the help of his descendants and his wife. He is a man who loves to work in the fields, to see the sun rise when he prepares the land before sowing.

Raul already had previous experience with Kiva loans and MiCrédito. Through that support he bought agricultural supplies. Now he is happy to have obtained a good harvest, so much so, that he has once again knocked on the doors of MiCrédito with Kiva hopping to obtain funding to buy different types of fertilizers and manure to benefit the development and harvesting of his crops.

Raúl's short-term goal is to buy new land and plant vegetables and basic grains.
