Reynaldo's story

Reynaldo C. is from the village of Brgy. Curifang, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya. He is 53 years old, married, and has 5 adult-aged children. Reynaldo owns and operates a business providing recycling services. The main source of income for the business comes from hauling junk and other waste material for local businesses and community members. Reynaldo has been involved in his business for over 10 years and earns approximately 8,000 PHP a month from it.

In 2008, Reynaldo joined ASKI to gain access to financial services to help improve his living situation and ability to engage in business activities. Reynaldo has successfully repaid a previous loan of 20,000 PHP from ASKI, which was used to purchase used bottles and newspapers to sell. Reynaldo is requesting a new loan, his fourth, of 20,000 PHP, which will be used to purchase additional waste and junk material to sell. He plans to use the additional revenue generated from the business to improve his family's general living conditions.
