A loan helped to buy livestock and increase her income from livestock breeding.

Saltanat's story

Saltanat has successfully repaid her previous loan, and is very grateful to Kiva and to all who helped her with that financing. Her farm presently consists of 14 cows, 16 sheep, nine horses, and a 2.55-hectare plot of irrigated land on which she grows potatoes, barley, and clover.

In order to further develop her business, Saltanat has again turned to Bai Tushum Bank, this time for a loan of 120,000 som (KGS), so she can buy livestock and boost her livestock-rearing income. She is planning to put the income generated by the loan into further developing her farm by increasing her dairy cattle headcount.
