A loan of $425 helped purchase ingredients, cooking utensils, and a canopy.

Adela's story

Adela is a 35 year old working mother. She lives in her own home with her partner and their two children. A few years ago, Adela and her sister teamed up to sell food at one of the busiest bus depots in the district where they live. There they offer grilled chicken, “anticuchos” (a traditional dish made of beef hearts and potatoes cooked on a grill), and other dishes. Their foods sales have been good due to the great culinary skills that both sisters possess. They have attracted customers who continually return to their establishment to enjoy their delicious food. Adela is happy with her business and wants to open a large restaurant in the future where she can prepare her dishes more comfortably. She and her sister work hard to acquire the necessary capital to fulfill their dreams.

This is her third loan with MFP. Adela promises to complete her payments on time, like she has done with her previous loans. The funds she requested will be used to buy ingredients for preparing her dishes, as well as cooking utensils and a canopy so that she can provide better service.
